COVID-19 has laid naked the absolute tyranny of global capitalism
Starvation skyrockets worldwide and the mainstream media yawns
“As many as 11 people are likely dying of hunger and malnutrition each minute. This is more than the current global death rate of COVID-19, which is around seven people per minute.” https://www.oxfam.org/en/press-releases/six-fold-increase-people-suffering-famine-conditions-pandemic-began
August 20, 2021
The above quote suggests capitalism is a deadlier disease than COVID-19, no?
And yet, the whole is in a tizzy about COVID-19, while very few people really seem upset about global capitalism, even if it kills them.
It’s a sad fact, one cannot too openly criticize capitalism without being crushed like a bug.
If you fight against tyranny, the tyrants will brand you a criminal, or these days most likely a terrorist. In either case the penalty is death or imprisonment, unless perhaps you have a rather large, dauntless gang supporting you, like the Taliban for example.
If you argue against tyranny, maybe, if you are lucky, they will only call you a terrorist or communist sympathizer. In either case your speech will be censored and you will, one way or another, sooner or later, be punished. If you repent and join the capitalist war machine robbing and murdering the innocent, maybe you will be forgiven.
Advocating for peace is an act of rebellion, especially in a state that has profited so hugely from wars as has the USA and its Gang of 7 or G7 for short.
Even as I write these words I know practically no one will ever read them because of the US Defense Department’s armada of censorship organizations to silence those who express view alternative to those promoted by the military-industrial-media complex. Even the threat of maybe some consequences sometime has web-hosts scrambling to censor their customers using shadow regulation.
I had a number of internet sites with high visit rates a couple of years ago. But censorship is now all the rage and the visit rates have dwindled down to nothing. I should have been able to sell advertising on at least a couple of those sites, but now? That won’t be possible. Fortunately, I kept records of analytic reports and know the dates visits to each mysteriously dropped from high volume to next to nothing.
Even on the brink of WWIII and nuclear Armageddon, no dissenting views are permitted to leak out to the Euro-American voting public while the super-rich capitalists count their ever-increasing mountains of money squeezed from the blood and bones of innocent slaves around the world.
Most people in the world are not wealthy, have never been wealthy and have no hope of ever becoming wealthy. Most people (if they truly know what is going on the world) will agree: global capitalism is tyrannical.
Paradoxically, capitalism, colonialism and slavery have histories going back to the rise of the first “civilizations.” Wealthy and powerful states raise armies and conquer their neighbors. In most cases that is how they became “great civilizations.” Captured prisoners became slaves and those slaves work to make those civilizations wealthy.
However, when the ruling class (the tyrants) starve and otherwise abuse the peasants too much, the peasants and/or slaves usually start a rebellion. Ninety-nine percent of the time those rebellions fail and the rebels are killed or captured and sold as slaves.
During the past 500 years, western powers have enslaved most of the world. Some of their slave nations call themselves “democracies.” But the western powers control their news media and determine who the people will vote for. So, the highly praised “freedom” in those slave nations is only an illusion. In most cases at least 90% - 98% of the people in those countries are very poor. Often or usually, they are hungry and often massive numbers of people starve to death. But that isn’t news. Neither is war really, but the mainstream news media just can’t advertise a “good” war enough. There is nothing the corporate owned media loves more than the war machine.
Poor nutrition and hunger are responsible for the death of 3.1 million children a year. That was before COVID-19. Now it’s much worse.
July 9th, 2021 Oxfam reported a six-fold increase in people suffering famine-like conditions since the pandemic began. “As many as 11 people are likely dying of hunger and malnutrition each minute. This is more than the current global death rate of COVID-19, which is around seven people per minute.” Did I repeat from above? It deserves repeating. There’s meaning here that cannot be underemphasized.
Niger – The least developed country in the world and one of the resource richest
The country of Niger is a classic example of capitalism at work. It is the largest country in western Africa. Niger also has an abundance of natural resources. And yet, year after year it is ranked as one of the least developed countries in the world. In 2020 Niger was ranked by the UN Development Project as 189th of the 189 countries ranked. It is the least developed country in the world.
This is the picture on the front cover of the UNDP’s 2020 report:
It’s a very pretty picture isn’t it? Below is a photo from Southern Niger.
https://www.dhakatribune.com/world/2018/09/11/un-world-hunger-levels-rise-for-third-year-running#
This is not a pretty picture. One almost never sees such pictures because the wealthy find it “disturbing.” Starvation is much worse now in Niger, but, no photos please. They are disturbing. The wealthy certainly do not want to see, or permit anyone else to see exactly where their money comes from. They own the mainstream media news and almost all the governments in the world, so, they do what they want and point accusing fingers at anyone who tries to communicate the bitter bloody realities of the world today.
It is those very same wealthy people that are stealing the wealth from Niger, and the rest of Africa, and large parts of Asia, and Latin America, and East Europe and the Middle East, which is really West Asia. Naturally the wealthy don’t want to be reminded of the effects of their crimes.
To the global capitalists Africa, Asia, and Latin America are great fat watermelons ripe for the picking.
That people – human beings – families, men, women and children - live there - means nothing. Only profits, quarterly earnings reports, that is, money, means anything to the Lords of Capitalism.
France benefits greatly from Niger’s natural resources and the uranium from Niger lights the skies of France at night. Because of the Uranium mining radioactive pollution has leaked into the groundwater and floats in the dust people breath.
So, people get sick and often die.
Yet, the people are powerless and there nothing they can do to escape their slavery and the theft of their nation’s natural resources. They tried revolutions, and nothing changes.
Even when the uranium mines close, the radioactive pollution remains.
The radioactive pollution remains
At this time the US and associated bullies, oops, I mean allies, OK, OK, I really meant bullies, including obviously the so-called UK (that still has a colony in my beloved Ireland), have flooded the South China Sea with battleship carrier groups and nuclear submarines to “contain,” and/or “confront” China, a socialist nation.
A small part of the British Carrier group. It is accompanied by a nuclear submarine. (Photo: Twitter, accessed by https://www.scmp.com/news/china/military/article/3143308/british-navy-shows-global-ambitions-aircraft-carriers-south, July 31, 2021)
The South China Sea has become a very crowded place recently.

The reason, western leaders assert is China’s growing “threat.”
Let’s take a look at that threat:

Excuse me for laughing. Is there no lie too big for the American so-called “Department of Defense” to tell?
China has zero deployed nuclear warheads.
And now, as of July 2021, the United States has forced China into ramping up its own thermonuclear arsenal. So naturally now the western corporate owned and driven international news is trumpeting:
“…That means that some 250 Chinese nuclear missile silos are believed to be currently under construction, more than 10 times the number of silos operated by the People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force (PLARF) today.”
According to my rough calculations, this might bring China’s nuclear arsenal up to a little more than half of the US’s nuclear arsenal sometime in the next few years.
Is there no better way to spend that money?
Obviously yes, but it would be highly negligent of China’s leaders to fail to at least minimally protect itself.
Who, the moral person must ask, is driving this nuclear madness?
It has always been the Global Capitalist Superstar, the USA, and still is while at the same time the number of hungry around the world and even in the USA is skyrocketing.
According to the USDA's latest Household Food Insecurity in the United States report, more than 35 million people in the United States experienced hunger in 2019.
Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, more than 42 million people may experience food insecurity, including a potential 13 million children.
In spite of that, the American voting public continues to vote into political office the same old war-mongering politicians, election after election. Why? It’s because the same corporations own the news media as everything else, so, they determine who the voters like and dislike. The democracy has been dead for a long time, and the people sense it.
The American people’s trust in politicians goes down year after year and is at or near historic lows. Since 2007, the share saying they can trust the government always or most of the time has not surpassed 30%. https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2021/05/17/public-trust-in-government-1958-2021
So, while ever-increasing numbers of Americans go hungry, the US spends more and more money on weapons and war, preparing at this time to somehow “pick a fight” with China, by far the least militarily aggressive superpower on earth.
And what will be left if the American Department of Defense gets its dreams fulfilled?
Only the radioactive pollution will remain
Civilization as we know it, will collapse and the survivors will all have radiated water to drink, and dust to breath.
Until that time, and it can be any day now, the Lords of Capitalism will keep counting their quarterly earnings, and remark: “Live if sweet!”
If the reader of this short article needed 10 minutes to read it, please remember 111 people died hunger, and 77 people of COVID-19 during this reading. Any one of them could have been your mother or father, sister or brother, son or daughter depending on the random chance of when and where you were born. It is not due to any virtue of the reader to have not starved to death or died of COVID-during this reading. It’s just random.
Please remember virtually all of those who died were poor people. Consider the fact that both President Trump and Prime Minister Boris Johnson had COVID-19 and survived just fine, even though neither is anywhere near “prime” an example of a healthy human. In other words, the rich can survive COVID-19 without ill-effects, while the poor die.
There is a dirty war going on few can really see. It’s a brutal war of the rich capitalists again the poor. And, the rich are obviously winning as more and more poor die younger and younger, mostly in pain, great pain.
Simultaneously, to even write these words is a waste of time, because virtually no one will read them. Good old algorithms.
In any case, the tyranny of global capitalism has been laid bare, and I thought I’d take an hour to write about it.
During that hour, 660 people have starved to death, and 420 people have died of COVID-19.
The facts of global capitalism are there for anyone see, if you but look.
Listen, you foolish and senseless people, with eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear...
Jeremiah 5:21
For the Lord of armies will have a day of reckoning
Against everyone who is arrogant and haughty,
And against everyone who is lifted up,
That he may be brought low.
Isaiah 2:12

Before posting/publishing any article I check to see if anyone else used the same title before. So, I put it into quotation markets and “Googled it.” I did see something similar:
